Championship Rematch

Mountain Lakes, State Runner-Up

VS

23-0, Defending State Champs

Similar to the Jets path to the Super Bowl in 2011, it’s going to be an equally challenging route to the Tournament of Champions crown in New Jersey. Summit returns a boat load of talent across their starting line up. With a first midfield heading to Villanova, St. John’s and Holy Cross they should bring stability to the offensive end. Not to mention their attack features two kids on their way to Lafayette and Middlebury.

Green Wave vs. Mountain Lakes

However, the dark horse in the race is a perennial power who stumbled last season: Delbarton. The Green Wave stumbled to a 9-8 record. However, this year they look to bounce back behind a midfield and attack unit that features players going to Cornell, Maryland, Holy Cross, Georgetown, Princeton and Roanoke. They have a defenseman heading to Harvard for good measure. My alma mater is heading to Morristown this season for a non-conference match up. It could be a long ride home from the dirty.

Mountain Lakes better have some youth if they hope to compete this year. They have a midfielder headed to Towson and a LSM going to Rollins. Only time will tell.

As for these shorts, they will be available at our Madison, NJ location later this week, so go check them out.
